ImageRen'ee Ginell
has studied dance of all types for over 35 years in Michigan, New York, Chicago, Canada and California.  With her humble beginnings in community education, it was realized early on that dancing was her passion in life.  A professional studio was recommended in which she was enrolled in Dance Korner School of Dance in Taylor, Michigan.  Here she began a well-rounded, and very valuable education in dance.  Now she is giving back to her humble beginnings by teaching through community education programs. She has taught dance classes in Ortonville, Holly, Clarkston, Lapeer, Fenton and Lake Orion.

Ren’ee has also become well-educated in her Gaelic ancestry which currently plays a very important role in the school she created approximately 10 years ago called, Dancin’ Feet School of Gaelic Culture & Dance.  The vision for this studio is to teach students to love dance, while they learn of the Gaelic culture in a non-competitive, fun atmosphere.  Her passion for her ancestry, and dance is clearly exhibited, not only in her choreography, but also in her interactive, and educational Gaelic presentations.  She and her dancers have performed these cultural presentations all over southeast Michigan in both schools and area festivals.

made repeated pilgrimages to Scotland to learn Scottish fiddling from master fiddlers like Alasdair Fraser, Buddy MacMaster, Iain MacFarlane, and Alan Henderson. She lived in Austria for many years and became well-known there as a Scottish fiddler, playing with Stone Circle and Peony and doing extensive  concertising with guitarist Thomas Herzl.  In 2005 she received a Master of Music Degree in Improvisation from the University of Michigan and today she teaches violin, viola, fiddle and improvisation at the Clarkston Conservatory of Music in Clarkston, Michigan.

Katherine Dunham...  a very fine teacher and engaging performer, she has put an immense amount of love, care and thought into the intricacies of the Scottish fiddle and is able to express her ideas in a beautiful and exciting manner.
